Spokane TV host dies at 79

SPOKANE, Wash. (AP) -- David Cyrus Page, better known to a generation of Spokane children as Captain Cy, has died at the age of 79.

The "Captain Cy" show on KREM ran from the late 1950s to the early 1960s. The show was produced live and ran Monday through Friday.

The show began with Popeye cartoons, followed by Captain Cy interviewing local kids. After his Spokane years, he moved to Utah and was active in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
