Tonya Papanikolas ReportingFour people were sent to the hospital after two separate shootings overnight. Police believe one of them was gang-related.
Police are still looking for the shooters in both cases.
Beer cans, cups and alcohol bottles litter the back parking lot of what neighbors say is a wood shop business at 55 S. 900 West. Overnight, it was the site of a big party.
Lt. Mike Ross, Salt Lake City Police Dept.: "There were several documented gang members at this party."
At some point, partygoers got into a fight and someone pulled a gun, firing several rounds.
Lt. Mike Ross: "When officers arrived, they found two victims that had been shot at the scene there."
A third victim later showed up at the hospital. Police have been busy trying to track down the suspect.
Lt. Mike Ross: "We have very good gang investigators, and they're out there right now talking to more witnesses, following up on leads."
Meanwhile, the Salt Lake County sheriff's office is trying to find out more information about a shooting on 43rd South and 5th East. They say a 22-year-old man was going home just after 2 am when he got into some sort of dispute with another driver.
Lt. Paul Jaroscak, Salt Lake County Sheriff's Office: "A staredown or stareoff or something. Then he said the passenger just began shooting at him."
One of the bullets hit a home across the street. Another bullet hit its intended target-- the driver.
Lt. Paul Jeroscak, Salt Lake County Sheriff's Office: "We had one shot we know of. At least that went through the trunk of the victim's car, through the back seat, through the back of the driver's seat and into his shoulder."
Despite his injury, the man drove home and called police.
Officers say all of the shooting victims will survive.
Police say the shooter in the second case was a man in his mid 20s with short black hair, driving a black SUV.
Anyone with information should call the Salt Lake County Sheriff's Office.
