(KSL News) A man accused of trying to kill his children has accepted a plea deal.
According to the Deseret Morning News, Christopher Young pleaded guilty to charges of child abuse. In exchange, prosecutors agreed to drop attempted aggravated murder charges.
This comes a week after a jury couldn't agree on whether he was guilty of trying to kill his children.
Back in April, Young took his children to the Point of the Mountain and threatened to drive off a cliff.
Prosecutors want Young to pay for emotional damages they believe he caused his three children, ages 6, 4, and 20 months.
Sentencing is scheduled for January.
