Sweet. Pineapple may fight cancer, a new study says.
Researchers in Australia isolated two molecules from crushed pineapple and discovered one blocks a defective protein found in 30 percent of cancers.
The other stimulates the immune system to target and kill cancer cells.
The find could lead to new anti-cancer drugs, the scientists say. Bill Hoffmann
