SALT LAKE CITY -- Dozens of people spent their Saturday morning sitting in the office of the IRS.

IRS spokesman Wayne Peterson says the office, which is usually closed on Saturdays, was open to help the public.

He said, "[We're] trying to provide a little extra help for people who need some help filing their taxes, or for people who maybe are struggling with the economy the way it is. We're here to provide tax solutions for the problems they may be experiencing."

The IRS will be open again on Saturday April 11 to help people out before the tax filing deadline.
