(KSL News) The Kingston family is under investigation again.
According to the Salt Lake Tribune, state authorities are seeking DNA samples, fingerprints and photographs in an apparent criminal investigation of incest within the polygamist clan.
Paul Elden Kingston, John Daniel Kingston, David Ortell Kingston and 27 others are being investigated, including children and women.
A sealed search warrant lists the individuals and evidence sought, but not the focus of the state's investigation.
Neither officials nor the Kingstons would comment. But a family member defends the kinship marriages, saying they encourage members to marry in the same faith and because they are a small group, related marriage is inevitable.
