Samantha Hayes ReportingKind of like getting a new hairstyle, every once in a while you just need a new look! The last few days crews have been hard at work constructing a new set for Eyewitness News.
It's been a dusty, noisy, weekend. It all started Friday afternoon. The old paneling was torn off, the old anchor desk was broken down and there's been a lot of hammering, drilling, and rearranging of things inside the studio walls.
Through the years KSL has had many different looks and several you probably remember. Our new look is designed to compliment improvements in your television and the signal we broadcast, and it is a complicated process.
Tyson Treff, Light Technical Coordinator: "You have over 400 lights in the ceiling, ability to turn each one on and off, or anywhere from zero to one hundred percent."
The really amazing part is the old set was torn down and the new one was constructed in just a few days. Crews were literally working up to the last minute before our afternoon newscasts started at 4 o'clock
Of course, our focus is the news at KSL TV, but every so often we just like to change up the way you view it, so we hope you like our new look.
