(KSL News) Activists and parents met tonight demanding the state restore funding to programs for disabled children.
They gathered at the Salt Lake City Public Library.
Advocates say the state at one time provided financial help to families with handicapped children.
Ron Faerber/Activist: "A lot of families are struggling just to make ends meet. When they make these cuts, they put our children in jeopardy."
The Disabled Rights Action Committe and parents with disabled children invited lawmakers to the event, but say none attended.
