SALT LAKE CITY-- Police are searching for a man who robbed a Salt Lake branch of Chase Bank with a gun Tuesday night.
The man walked into the bank at 1285 S. 2100 East around 5:15 p.m. He waived a gun and demanded cash.
He took the money from the teller, fled the bank through the east doors, jumped a small wooden fence and headed north through a backyard.
The robber is described as a male white adult in his 20s, 5 feet 6 inches tall, 160 pounds. He had medium to long brown hair and possibly was unshaven.
He was wearing a grey hooded sweatshirt with the hood pulled over his head, a blue or black bandanna over his forehead, and a black ski mask or scarf covering most of his face. He wore a black sweatshirt over the grey hoodie, sweat pants and work gloves.
Midvale, Draper and South Salt Lake police all responded with their K-9 units but were not able to locate him.
