(KSL News) -- A man is in jail after leading Provo police on a dangerous chase.
Sunday morning, Provo Police were investigating calls of someone breaking into cars. During this investigation, they heard a crash. A Cadillac had hit a pickup truck.
It turns out the Cadillac was stolen. The suspect driving it, Adam Norton, then ditched it. While in the process of stealing another car, Norton hit a Utah County Deputy's car. Shots were fired and a chase began.
Norton led police through town and into some dangerous terrain before they stopped him.
Norton was treated at Utah Valley State Hospital for a gunshot wound to the arm.
He now faces a number of charges including aggravated assault on a police officer, theft, evading arrest and DUI.
