SALT LAKE CITY (AP) -- Utah lawmakers are going to cut their own salaries by 10 percent, but the reduction won't start until after the current legislative session.

House Speaker Dave Clark, R-Santa Clara, says the salary cut is significant at a time when lawmakers are asking state agencies to cut their own budgets.

Lawmakers make $130 each day they're in session. They'll cut that amount by $13. The $116 a day for lodging while in session, $40 a day for meals and mileage reimbursement won't be affected.
