(KSL News) A man accused of stabbing a Utah County Sheriff's Deputy will be in court today.

In June 2003, sheriff's deputies responded to a report a fugitive was at the Sundance Resort.

Amador Santonio allegedly started a fight with the deputies and either dislocated or broke one deputy's fingers, then left.

When the deputies intercepted Santonio, he pulled out a knife and stabbed one of them in the chest.

Both deputies recovered from their injuries.
