(KSL News) -- Fast food giant McDonalds is the latest big business to be hit by an internet scam.
The company says someone has created and is distributing a fake coupon for a free McDonald's salad. Company officials say the coupon was sent by email.
Along with the coupon, the email includes a letter addressed to "valued customer."
McDonalds says it has no way of knowing exactly how many coupons have been distributed but the coupons have shown up at restaurants around the country.
