(KSL News) -- A new Internet scam is using the coupons you get off the Internet to collect millions of dollars from retailers.

Several grocery store chains have already stopped taking the computer coupons because too many are counterfeit and they can't tell the difference between the authentic ones and the fakes.

Most of the fakes are sold on Internet auction sites, message boards and e-mails. Many are offers for free products, and some of the most popular are coupons for Ball Park products.

The best advice is to avoid buying coupons online.
