(KSL News) – If you own a newer model vehicle, fixing your bumper after a fender bender could be more than you hoped for.
The Insurance Institute for Highway Safety tested six types of vehicles in five-mile-per-hour crash tests. And only the 2003 Mazda-six earned an "acceptable" rating.
The 2003 Saab nine-three and the 2004 Toyota Sienna earned "marginal" ratings... and the 2003 Mercedes e-class, the 2003 Infiniti G-35, and 2004 Nissan Quest got poor ratings.
Mazda-six bumper repairs run about 340 dollars. To fix an Infinity G-35: its one-thousand 480 bucks.
