(KSL News) -- The Consumer Product Safety Commission is recalling all Segway scooters.
The Segway maker has agreed to recall the motorized scooters because of a problem with the machine when the batteries are low. The low battery is believed to cause riders to fall off.
Three people have been injured. One person suffered a head wound and required stitches.
The problem can be fixed if the electric, two-wheeled scooter is taken back to the dealer for a software upgrade.
The scooter has been hailed as a major step in transportation technology.
