(KSL News) -- Local grocery stores filling their freezers with cloned meat could be a possibilty of the future.
A preliminary study from the Food and Drug Administration found meat and milk products from healthy, cloned farm animals just might be safe to eat.
Despite the new research results, the FDA acknowledges cloning technology isn't perfect yet, and will not allow cloned products in the food supply now.
And it will likely be years before such products will reach our grocery stores.
