(KSL News) -- Online security experts are warning about new computer viruses that try to defraud users of PayPal, the popular online payment service owned by e-Bay.

The latest version comes in e-mail form looking like it's from PayPal, telling users their account is about to expire.

Recipients are encouraged to release sensitive information, including their Social Security number and mother's maiden name.

Experts say the scam involves criminally minded people using very sophisticated computer technology to extort money from people.
