(KSL News) -- The government is helping us take the guess work out of who those anomymous callers are that show up on caller ID.
Beginning tomorrow, you'll know exactly who that so called "out of area" caller is.
New federal regulations require companies trying to make a sale to identify themselves on caller ID, along with a phone number that customers can call to tell the company to stop calling.
The new regulations are part of the rules setting up the Do Not Call Registry.
