Dashboards Could Show Tire Pressure

(KSL News) -- Dashboard instrument panels show gas and oil levels in a car and they soon may add tire pressure.

Federal safety regulators are considering a plan that would require low tire pressure warning lights on all vehicles.

The industry says about ten percent of cars and trucks already have tire pressure monitoring devices. The government says adding tire pressure indicators would save as much as one-point-seven (b) billion dollars each year in fuel and maintenance costs.
