(KSL News) -- Thousands of Hyundai's are being recalled because of a glitch in the air-bag systems.

The automaker is voluntarily recalling some 120,000 2004 and 2005 model Elantra sedans because of a software problem.

The move comes after a recent test conducted by the Insurance Institute of Highway Safety.

Hyundai will be contacting owners of the affected vehicles to install a software change, free of charge.
