IF these sweat-stopping steps don't help, you may have a condition called hyperhidrosis (excessive sweating), which can be treated by a doctor:
BOTOX SHOTS: The same wrinkle-smoothing solution which paralyzes facial muscles can block the nerves that trigger sweat glands.
IONTOPHORESIS: A battery-powered device delivers a low current of electricity to sweaty spots to reduce perspiration. British doctors are also experimenting with using ultrasound to destroy the sweat glands in the armpits.
SURGERY: As a last resort, a physician may remove the sweat glands in your armpits or cut the nerves that signal the glands to produce sweat.
