TULSA, Okla. (AP) -- Lee Cummard scored 26 points, including five free throws in the final 36 seconds, as Brigham Young held off Tulsa 74-68 to snap the Hurricane's 28-game nonconference home winning streak.

Jonathan Tavernari scored 20 points for BYU (11-1) and point guard Jimmer Fredette added 13, 11 of those in the second half.

Justin Hurtt led Tulsa with a career-high 17 points, Ben Uzoh scored 15 and Jerome Jordan had 13 points and 14 rebounds for the Hurricane, 8-5.

Tulsa went on a 9-0 run late in the first half to grab a 32-24 lead and was about to extend it when Uzoh lofted a lob pass to Bishop Wheatley for a slam. But the ball rattled out and Emery Jackson drained a 3-pointer at the other end to stop the momentum. BYU closed to within 35-31 at the half.

BYU shot 52.8 percent from the field and outrebounded Tulsa 39-38, led by Tavernari with 10 rebounds. Tulsa shot just 36 percent and made only 4 of 21 3-pointers.
