(KSL News) A mother and her young daughter in Holladay escaped a fire that burned their apartment near 4800 South and 1100 East.
The flames erupted in the kitchen about 8:30 this morning. The mother called 911 and got out quickly before smoke became too heavy.
No other apartments in the complex were damaged by the smoke or flames.
No word yet on caused the fire.
