A wave may have been the impetus for a stabbing in West Valley City. Police say the victim waved at the girlfriend of the suspect while driving past them on Redwood Road last night.
The suspect then chased the victim's car into the parking lot of a John Paras furniture store, where a fight began. During the fight the victim was stabbed.
"The victim was stabbed once on the left side by his kidney. The suspect left in a white passenger vehicle; no plate was given," said West Valley police Capt. Tom McLachlan.
Police are searching for the suspect but have little information other because the 14-year-old victim is not being cooperative.
All police know is the suspect was driving a white car and wearing a red hat. If you have any information that would be helpful, contact the West Valley Police Department at 801-840-4000.
