(KSL News) A man who confessed to killing his ex-girlfriend and another man will spend the rest of his life in prison with no chance of parole.
Donald Bert Richardson told a judge during his sentencing hearing that he was sorry for what he did and would think about his victims every day for the rest of his life.
Richardson strangled his former girlfriend, Annette Young, then shot his former friend, Martin Cannon, in the face.
Young's family told Eyewitness News today they are satisfied with the outcome of the sentencing, because, quote: "life in prison will prevent another innocent person from being harmed by Don."
