(KSL News) A Saratoga Springs woman won't spend time in jail for allowing her 15-year-old unlicensed son to drive, resulting in the death of a 4-year-old boy.
Regina Tausinga pleaded no contest to negligent homicide in the death of Cooper Mardesich back in August. Tausinga's son was driving her minivan when he struck and killed the boy.
The Deseret News reports the victim's family requested that Tausinga not serve jail time. Instead, she has been sentenced to a year probation and 185 hours of community service.
