Bum in the air and toes wiggling over her head, Lily Adams, 6 months old, skips her nap to work on her flexibility at 9:30 a.m.
Lily and her mom, Lisa, share bonding time at baby yoga, a new class offered at Bogan Park in Buford.
Morgan Cate, the instructor, said baby yoga can improve sleep and digestion in infants. For some children, it can also sharpen alertness, she said.
Although the class is offered for babies ages 3 to 10 months, even newborns can benefit from yoga, starting with breathing exercises and massage, Cate said.
