HOLLYWOOD, Feb 29, 2004 (United Press International via COMTEX) -- "The Passion of The Christ," distributed by Newmarket, grossed $117 million its debut week topping the U.S. box office, according to boxofficemojo.com.
Sony's "50 First Dates" added $12.6 million to its $88 million box office.
Paramount's "Twisted," grossed $9 million in its premier week.
"Confessions of a Teenage Drama Queen," distributed by Disney, added $6 million to a box office of $16.7 million.
"Dirty Dancing: Havana Nights," distributed by Lion's Gate, grossed $5.9 million in its debut week.
"Disney's "Miracle" added $4.4 million to its box office of $56 million.
"Eurotrip," distributed by DreamWorks, added $4 million to its $12.7 million box office.
Fox's "Welcome to Mooseport" added 3.3 million to its $11 million box office.
MGM's "Barbershop 2: Back in Business" added $3 million to its box office of $57 million.
"Club Dread," distributed by Fox Searchlight, grossed $3 million in its premier week.
