(KSL News) The composer of the popular musical "Wicked" says he will not stop Utah or LDS-related groups from using his material.

Several composers have suggested banning such groups from using their works in protest of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints' support of Proposition 8 in California. That measure banned gay marriage in the state.

The Salt Lake Tribune reports that composer Stephen Schwartz says while he finds Prop 8 "reprehensible," he will not try to stop groups like the BYU Young Ambassadors from performing his songs.
