WASHINGTON — John Carlson scored the game-winner with 53.2 seconds left in regulation and the Washington Capitals beat the Los Angeles Kings 4-3. Nicolas Aube-Kubel had a goal and two assists, and Nic Dowd and Dylan Strome also scored for the Capitals, who ended a two-game slide. Kevin Fiala struck twice and Adrian Kempe also scored for the Kings, losers of five straight. Darcy Kuemper stopped 38 of 41 in the win, and Cam Talbot made 30 saves in the loss.
