HUNTSVILLE, Weber County — An Ogden man who collided with a tree last month has died from his injuries.

Snowbasin Resort officials issued a statement Friday saying a 55-year-old man, who had been found unresponsive at the resort on Dec. 5, recently died at a local hospital.

Weber Fire District officials said the man, whose name was not released, was critically injured when he collided with a tree while skiing at the resort sometime before he was found unresponsive about 10 a.m. on Dec. 5. He was flown by helicopter to a local hospital, where he died on Dec. 21.

"We are heartbroken by this loss and offer our deepest condolences to the guest's family, and all involved," resort officials said.
