ANN ARBOR, Mich. — Mike Mitchell Jr. scored 18 points, Dawson Garcia had a double-double, and Minnesota rallied late and then held off Michigan for a 73-71 victory for its sixth straight win. Pharrel Payne scored four points, and Mitchell and Elijah Hawkins each hit a 3-pointer during a 10-3 surge to give Minnesota a 69-62 advantage with 3:58 remaining. Elijah Hawkins missed a free throw, Olivier Nkamhoua missed a 3 and Dug McDaniel missed a layup on the Wolverines' final possession. Garcia had 13 points and 12 rebounds for Minnesota (11-3, 2-1 Big Ten). Nimari Burnett scored 17 points for Michigan (6-8, 1-2).
