WEST JORDAN — Police have identified the man whose body was found near the Jordan River on Tuesday afternoon.

West Jordan police responded to a bicycle accident about 3:20 p.m. at the Jordan River near 8600 S. Millrace Bend. Officers on scene located the body of Jeffrey Page, 63, in the canal along a path that leads to the Jordan River.

Police are working with the medical examiner to determine the cause of death. It is unclear what led to the accident, how he ended up in the canal or who called and reported the accident to first responders.
