(KSL News) -- The city of Taylorsville will pay more than 15-thousand dollars to a group of animal rights activists for violating their right to free speech.
Members of the Utah Animal Rights Coalition were restricted to a certain area during the recent Taylorsville Dayzz festival, when they tried to pass out brochures on animal cruelty.
The Coalition brought a lawsuit against the city, saying they should not have been restricted because they were not a safety threat or restricting traffic flow.
Yesterday a US District Judge agreed with them and ordered the city to pay restitution.
