THOMPSON SPRINGS, Grand County — One person is dead following a single-vehicle rollover on I-70 Friday night.
About 11:14 p.m. Friday, Utah Highway Patrol troopers responded to reports of a single-vehicle crash involving a Honda SUV, according to a news release from the agency. The Honda was reported as driving recklessly before it left the roadway about 4 miles east of Thompson Springs, overcorrected to the right, and rolled end over end into the median.
The driver of the vehicle, the sole occupant, was ejected and suffered fatal injuries, the release says. UHP troopers are investigating both speed and impairment as contributing factors in the crash.
The identity of the driver was not released Saturday.
