SALT LAKE CITY β As Utah rolled to a dominant win over Stanford on Saturday, the Utes finished with an undefeated record at home and sent the seniors out with another victory.
Ahead of a pivotal Nov. 19 showdown between the top four teams in the Pac-12, only USC and Utah came away from the weekend unscathed. As a result, the Trojans and Utes took advantage in the latest Associated Press Top 25 rankings this week.
Utah got a boost and moved up to No. 10 this week, up three spots from its previous standing at No. 13. The Utes are one of six teams from the Pac-12 ranked in the Top 25 and one of two teams inside the Top 10.
USC moved up to No. 7 this week after a Friday night win over Colorado and now leads the conference as its highest-ranked team. The Trojans are followed by No. 12 Oregon, who dropped six spots after a narrow loss to Washington. The Huskies moved up nine spots to No. 15 with the win. They're followed by UCLA at No. 16, who fell seven spots with a loss to Arizona. After a week out of the rankings, Oregon State moves back into the Top 25 at No. 25.
The top of the rankings remain unchanged, with Georgia at No. 1. The Bulldogs received 62 of the 63 total first-place votes this week. They're followed by No. 2 Ohio State (1), No. 3 Michigan, No. 4 TCU and No. 5 Tennessee.
