SPANISH FORK — The Wings and Wheels Festival of Speed will be returning to Spanish Fork on Saturday, much to the delight of aircraft and exotic car connoisseurs.
The event will feature a car show, races, static aircraft displays, skydivers, an aviation acrobatics show, helicopter rides, food and beverage vendors and more.
"It's just a ton of fun, tons of fun cars to see," said Trevor Hoyt of Envision, one of the main hosts putting on the show. "It's going to be a blast."
The event starts at 8 a.m. Saturday at the Spanish Fork Airport and runs through the day until about 7 p.m. To maximize the experience, Hoyt recommends "picking and choosing what you want to be there for" by checking the itinerary for the day.
"It's something worth experiencing," Hoyt said.
The show costs $12 per ticket if pre-registering and $15 per ticket if buying tickets at the event. Kids 10 and younger can get in for free.
At this year's event, there are plans to race "one or two" hypercars against a high-powered prop plane, something Hoyt said folks won't want to miss.
"This is going to be a forever-growing event with a lot of expansions," Hoyt said. "We're excited to see this thing continue to grow."
