WAHOO STADIUM — Remember that viral Studio C sketch where the goalie saves a bunch of penalty kicks with his face to win his team the game? Well, something kind of similar happened last weekend in Pensacola, Florida, to the Marlins' AA affiliate Blue Wahoos.
The Wahoos were down 6-4 to the Biloxi Shuckers in the bottom of the ninth when suddenly all chaos broke loose. First there was an error at first base when the baseman's foot came off the base and the runner was ruled safe. The pitcher walked the next batter, putting two on base.
Then, in true Scott Sterling fashion, an unbelievable FOUR batters in a row were hit by a pitch to give the Wahoos a 7-6 win and the third walk-off win in a row in front of the home crowd.
"If you can find a stranger one in baseball, I would love to see it!" the play-by-play commentator said.
The weirdest walk-off you'll ever see!
