OGDEN — A man died Friday night after he was struck by a vehicle while crossing the street, according to Ogden police.

About 10:20 p.m., police responded to reports of an auto pedestrian crash in the 2800 block of Washington Boulevard. When police arrived they learned that the man had been walking east mid-block when he was hit by a southbound vehicle, according to a press release.

The man was transported to McKay-Dee Hospital, where he was later pronounced dead. The driver remained on the scene and has cooperated, police said.

The man was not in a crosswalk at the time of the crash.

The identity of the man has not yet been released.
