Every year between March and April, Christians around the world celebrate Easter to commemorate the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ. Some of these traditions are deeply religious and spiritual while others are more commercialized. While Americans are busy dyeing eggs and tracking down treats left behind by the Easter Bunny, other countries have their own way of celebrating Easter and the week leading up to it.
From dressing up in costumes to throwing water on others for good luck, you might be surprised at some of the things people do to mark this holiday. (Who knows? Maybe you'll even want to adopt some of these traditions yourself!)
