SPANISH FORK — A driver was hospitalized in critical condition Thursday after a crash on I-15 in Spanish Fork.
About 11:30 a.m., a car was stalled in the lanes near 300 South when it was struck by another vehicle, Utah Highway Patrol Sgt. Cameron Roden said. The man driving the vehicle that hit the stalled car was flown to a hospital in critical condition.
Another car then hit a fire truck at the scene.
A few other occupants in the crashed vehicles suffered minor injuries, Roden said, but no one else was hospitalized.
The freeway closed briefly in the area to allow the medical helicopter to land.
Additional details, including why the original vehicle was stalled in the road, were not immediately available.
