Have You Seen This? When a Halloween prank goes too well

Being pranked is one thing. Being pranked while taping a TV show is another thing entirely.

THE STUDIO — It's Halloween, a day when you have equal chances to get tricks or treats.

You would think that most people would prefer treats, but with the number of horror movies and haunted houses out there it's hard to tell.

But going to a haunted house fully knowing you'll be scared is different from an out-of-the-blue prank. So, maybe the only people who truly like tricks on Halloween are the pranksters themselves. But I digress.

The true reason we're here is to talk about a clip (I know, you're shocked) from a taping of a TV show.

The show is a talk show called "The Kitchen," it airs on The Food Network, and it boasts five cooking costars: Geoffrey Zakarian, Jeff Mauro, Katie Lee, Marcela Valladoli, and Sunny Anderson. The main players in the clip are Sunny and Jeff.

In the video, Sunny and Jeff are having a dancing goof around before they get back to talking about a Halloween dessert. As they approach the dirt-patch Halloween dessert ... something happens. That something starts a series of events, including a scream chain reaction, flailing arms, and at least one person on the floor.

This brings us full circle back to the idea that only pranksters like tricks on Halloween, as evidenced by Sunny's sincere statement of "I hate you," right into the camera. No doubt the hate was heightened because "The Kitchen" is filmed in front of a live studio audience, and no one likes to fall in front of an audience.

Hoping your tricks and treats are safe this Halloween.
