SALT LAKE CITY — A 50-year-old woman is in critical condition after she was hit by a truck at the intersection of 300 West and 800 South Saturday morning, police say.

Police received the call about 10:53 a.m. and responded to the scene. An ambulance transported the woman in critical condition, according to Salt Lake Police Lt. Andrew Cluff.

"At this point we consider it to be an accident," Cluff said. "Nothing criminal is being investigated right now."

Roads have closed a block in each direction while police investigate, according to Cluff.

The woman's identity was not released. She remained in critical condition as of Saturday afternoon, Cluff said.
