CEDAR CITY — A young mother and her 1-year-old son escaped serious injury when their vehicle went off state Route 20 and rolled down a steep embankment Wednesday afternoon.
Utah Highway Patrol Sgt. David Bairett told Cedar City News the incident happened at approximately 4 p.m. and involved a white Jeep Cherokee on S.R. 20 roughly 10 miles east of Interstate 15 Exit 95 to Panguitch/Bryce Canyon.
Bairett said the vehicle left the roadway after taking a turn too fast.
"It went off the road and continued for approximately 200 feet down a very steep embankment," he said.
