ARAGONITE, Tooele County — Two people died in a crash involving a wrong-way driver on westbound I-80 in Tooele County Monday night, officials said.
Witnesses reported a vehicle was traveling east in the westbound lanes and hit a pickup truck head-on near Aragonite about 10:30 p.m., according to the Utah Highway Patrol. Both drivers died on impact. A passenger from the pickup truck was taken to a hospital in serious condition.
The names of the people who died have not yet been released.
The freeway was closed after the crash but at least one lane has since reopened.

Troopers are investigating a crash on I-80 at mile post 55 involving two vehicles. One appears to have been going wrong way. Unfortunately two people have been killed in this crash. I-80 Westbound is closed for the investigation.
