CEDAR CITY — A precautionary boil order has been issued for a section of Cedar City after water samples collected Monday indicated possible E. coli, city officials said Wednesday.
In a statement, city officials said the result came from one of six samples taken earlier this week. Residents from 200 South to Shurtz Canyon Drive and east of Main Street are urged to boil water until further notice.
"We are currently flushing and testing the system today and will continue to do so until a 100% negative test result returns," officials wrote Wednesday.
City officials added they will provide an update as soon as the order is lifted.
