TAYLORSVILLE — A man accused of shooting another man in the face has been returned to Utah and booked into the Salt Lake County Jail.

Kyle Gregory Loyd, 24, was wanted for investigation of attempted murder, aggravated assault and felony discharge of a firearm. According to Taylorsville police, Loyd shot another man in the face at the Callaway Apartments, 1141 W. 3900 South, on July 24 in what detectives described as a domestic-related issue.

The victim was hospitalized in serious condition but has since been released.

Loyd was arrested out of state and extradited back to Utah on Thursday.
