OGDEN — A man who served time in the Utah State Prison for stabbing his pregnant girlfriend has now been been arrested and accused of possessing child pornography.
Jeffrey Lee Ingram, 52, was booked into the Weber County Jail on Tuesday and charged Wednesday in 2nd District Court with 10 counts of sexual exploitation of a minor, a second-degree felony.
The investigation began in May when Utah police received a tip from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children about possible child pornography being shared to an email account. Ingram was identified as the person linked to the IP address and officers from the FBI Child Exploitation task force served a search warrant at his home on Tuesday, according to a police affidavit.
"During the search of the residence, numerous files of child pornography were found on devices belonging to Jeffrey Lee Ingram. Three notebooks were found belonging to Jeffrey that had detailed lists of suspect websites and child exploitation victims' names," the affidavit states.
Ingram was on parole at the time of his arrest. In 2010 he was charged with attempted murder for stabbing his pregnant girlfriend. The unborn child was reported to be in serious condition at the time and was expected to be OK. The 23-year-old woman who was four months pregnant suffered minor injuries.
Ingram was convicted of attempted murder and was sentenced to a term of three years to life in prison.
