SALT LAKE CITY — The basketball season ended just a couple months ago, but the Pac-12 released its conference pairings for the upcoming season Tuesday.

And for Utah, it includes two conference games in December, in accordance with a new 10-year change to the scheduling to host a pair of conference games a month earlier than the full conference slate in January.

Utah will travel to USC on Dec. 1 and host California on Dec. 5. These games will be featured over a four-day period during the week of the Pac-12 football championship game, which will take place on Dec. 3 in Las Vegas.

In addition, the pairings for the 2021-22 conference slate were announced.

Utah will host Arizona, Arizona State, California, Colorado, Oregon, Oregon State, USC, UCLA, Washington and Washington State at the Huntsman Center; and will travel to Arizona, Arizona State, California, Colorado, Oregon, Oregon State, Stanford, USC, Washington and Washington State.

The new schedule rotation "ensures balance and equity across the league's 12 programs and venues over the course of the next decade," the conference said in a statement.

In 2020-21, the Pac-12 adjusted to a 20-game conference slate, pushing some games into December to fit in the extra games.

Set dates for the schedule will come later in the year.
